For the project I had to list the Grey card reading for both the Aperture+Shutter but completly forgot when taking the pictures. I also have to list the “Aperture changed to” and “Shutter Speed changed to”

Help!!

  1. The gray card reading isn’t that big of a deal really if you watched your light meter in the camera. (Did you have one in the camera?) Also to keep track of your shutter speed and aperture, did you change them at all or did you just use the auto settings?

If you didn’t change anything or pay attention to the auto as it changed then there isn’t much you can do for that.

If it is digital then if you import them into Photoshop and get info the information would be listed there or in your camera.

Although, if you don’t have a digital, you were shooting film, and you have no idea what so ever, then DO NOT LIE because it will only make it worse.

If you have time I would suggest going and reshooting the assignment or just going out with your camera to where you took the photos on the same lighting day and get an idea on your camera what the reading is.

The purpose of the assignment I am guessing is to learn what they do and how they change. So go and just reshoot SOMETHING it may not be great but do it and so you have an idea.

There is away to get within a general area to what you negatives where set at but it is very difficult to explain and without actually seeing the images it would be even harder to just tell what it could be.

The reason for the gray card (photography not film) is to get a general read for the norm in that area or to have a idea for color correction if you are doing color photography.

I hope this helps and if you can give more info I would see what I can do to help.
