What’s the best new baseball card set for an 8 yr old to buy packs that has all players & is inexpensive?
I am looking to help a friend’s kid start baseball card collecting and am looking for a set to collect that is NOT an investment but has a complete set of players. Buying packs and trying to accumulate a set (like baseball card collecting used to be) is what he would enjoy. Is there a base Topps set, for example, that packs or boxes of packs are easy and cheaper to buy?

Has anyone used a cheap “dollar store” test?
I have spent a fortune in expensive HPT’s, and Tomorrow will be 5 days from my expected period, I know I should wait until the day I miss my period, but the 2WW is killing me, as i’m sure it is for most of us. So, I heard from different people that they take one of the cheap ones early and sometimes it comes up poistive. I want to wait and use the expensive one on the day my peiod is due. Has this happened to any of you? I just really hate to spend too much more money on these tests.

Cockroach help!? Terminex Q&A?
My landlord is bringing terminex out tomorrow over minimal roach sitings. I have a small dog that is not “allowed” in my apartment therefore I can’t ask the landlord about pet procedures after the bombing. Advice please ( and no I can’t move out, yes we are clean freaks and they have only been spotted in the kitchen and my roommate’s bed and bath, O… and I pay a fortune for this beautiful oasis on the beach that just happens to be fancied by roaches as well). I’ve been having nightmares since the initial sighting!!!

What do you keep your thermostat set at during the summer & winter?
In the summer we have the thermostat set at 77 degrees and my husband in constantly complaining that it is too cold, he insists that we need to set it at 78 degrees. What it boils down to is that he is CHEAP! He would rather sit here and be hot to save on the power bill. In the winter we have to keep it at 71 degrees. I am just curious what every one else keeps their thermostat set at?
Do parents feel slighted when their teenage / grown kids do not reciprocate their thoughtful gestures & gifts?
I realize that parents don’t expect their kids to match their generosity, but if they do something incredibly kind and thoughtful is a thank-you truly sufficient, or do they hope we’ll reciprocate on a smaller-scale? I’m asking because I feel overwhelmed sometimes by the things my mom does for me – all her incredibly thoughtful gifts and gestures – and guilty that I’ve done so little for her in return. We haven’t lived together since the summer of 06 when they moved to the UK to take care of my grandparents & I insisted (it wasn’t her fault) on staying here w my dad because I did’t want to move in the middle of high school, and I’m not exaggerating when I say that she’s sent me a card nearly every day since then. I’ve never gone a week without getting a care package from her, and each one is extremely thoughtful. Today I received a huge box of these vegan power bars & snacks that I love & you can’t find here, and the crazy thing is that she’s flying in tomorrow night! She spent a freaking fortune on posting just because wanted me to have them in time for these exams I’m taking in the morning. It’s awesome, but it makes me feel like an incredibly sucky daughter for not doing more in return. I mean, she has an important job, four kids under the age of eight, and a billion things going on, and yet she finds the time to do these amazing things for me, and I’m just a high school senior and all I’ve done the whole entire semester is put together a couple of videos of my artwork, photography & music and YouTube them for her. That’s literally it. She loved them, but I mean… it took me like three hours to make. I do say thank-you for each gift, but I haven’t even mailed her a card lately.
Sorry, this is so long. I’m just worried that she might think I am thoughtless and ungrateful or something. If you are a parent, could you please just honestly tell me what you think? Please don’t sugar-coat. Just tell me if you would secretly be hurt if your daughter did’t even begin to reciprocate all the things you’ve done for her, even though she was almost 17 (this wk) and had the capability to more.

The sound quality isn’t great (laptop mic), & you can totally hear a few mistakes while I’m playing, but she really liked them. They are LONG, though, so I don’t know that anyone else would actually want to watch them. : )

How much different is it to set up & activate a USED iPhone than a new one?
I’m planning on buying a USED iPhone off ebay, and I’ve seen the videos for how to activate & set up a NEW iPhone, but how much different is a used one to set up & activate with iTunes, compared to setting up a new iPhone? Any help would be great. Thanks!

How to set a background picture for home screen on an Ipod touch?
I have tried to set wallpaper to my home screen on my ipod touch. I have downloaded the new software and everything but when I go to set a picture for my home screen it only sets it for my lock screen. Any suggestions on a different way I could do it?.
